#1 on gadget list on eBay - Wii for 2008

Recently Ebay had released their list of top tech gadgets for this year.Not a giant surprise, Nintendo Wii took the top spot on marketplace in eBay’s 2008 gadgets top list, with more than 2 million related items sold on the site.Right behind, Microsoft Xbox360 was at 3rd at 1.3 million related items sold, followed by the Sony PSP and iPod touch. Making video game consoles far away the most popular for this year.

  1. Nintendo Wii: 2,056,866 related items sold

  2. Microsoft Xbox360: 1,297,903 related items sold

  3. Sony PSP: 350,591 related items sold

  4. iPod Touch: 281,361 related items sold

  5. Nintendo Wii Fit: 266,584 related items sold

  6. Apple iPhone 3G: 212,837 related items sold

  7. BlackBerry Pearl: 207,688 related items sold

  8. BlackBerry Curve: 193,788 related items sold

  9. Sony Playstation 3: 103,333 related items sold

  10. Guitar Hero III: 98,159 related items sold

  11. Halo 3: 91,067 related items sold

  12. Grand Theft Auto IV: 43,005 related items sold

  13. MacBook Air: 12,423 related items sold

I'm kinda surprise of the Wii being the top seller I guess that tried and true formula of making good quality games that are accessible to all, that Atari 2600 started and later on Nintendo perfected, is working well.

I do always love when ebay produces this list for us. Let's us know what the market in that area is genuinely interested in. We'll see how it starts to turn out in 2009, because it will surely be a little different.

The wii is a unique console and family fu targeted so it deserves to be on the number 1 slot.

I get addicted once i start playing about with it.
